“Bold Steps with Dr. Mark Jobe” Launches
Bold Steps with Dr. Mark Jobe, Moody Radio’s newest national weekday program, launched today across its nation-wide network of stations.
Hosted by Moody Bible Institute president, Dr. Mark Jobe, the 30-minute program takes listeners on the path to freedom and authenticity in Christ through his candid, topical teaching from God’s Word. “Each day, Dr. Jobe’s direct and powerful messages from Scripture will help bring Gospel-centered transformation to listeners’ lives,” said Doug Hastings, vice president of Moody Radio. “Dr. Jobe has served for decades as a pastor in Chicagoland and we are thrilled that we can bring his unique, personal style of clear, relevant Bible teaching that resonates with those from all ages and walks of life.”
Moody Radio will air Bold Steps daily across its owned-and-operated radio stations and online streams, as well as affiliates. Check local listings for specific times. The program, which is co-hosted by veteran broadcaster Wayne Shepherd, will additionally be heard via Moody radio’s network stream and iPhone and Android apps as well. Listeners can also launch the program via Amazon echo.
“I want to meet listeners right where they are in life through each message so they can apply the powerful truth of God’s Word to their life and take bold steps for King Jesus,” said Dr. Jobe, whose tenure as Moody Bible Institute’s 10th president began on Jan. 2, 2019. He is also the author of Moody Publishers’ Unstuck: Out of Your Cave into Your Call. “It is humbling to have the opportunity to help listeners take their next step with Jesus Christ through Moody Radio and I am excited to see what the Lord will do through Bold Steps.”
For the past 32 years, Dr. Jobe has served as the founding pastor of New Life Community Church in Chicago. The church has grown from a handful of people to approximately 7,000 meeting at 27 locations throughout the Chicagoland area and in eight cities internationally. He is also the founder of New Life Centers, an organization focused on helping youth in underserved areas of Chicago. He and his wife, Dee, have three adult children.
Dr. Jobe holds a diploma in Communications from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago (1984), a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from Columbia International University, a Master of Arts in Ministry from Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago (1998), and a doctorate in Transformational Leadership for the Global City from Bakke Graduate University.
